WSK Medical nominated for Dutch Applied AI Awards

WSK Medical is proud and honoured to announce the nomination of the 2022 Dutch Applied AI Awards. For the third time in a row, the IT magazine Computable, podcast De Dataloog and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) present the Dutch Applied AI Awards. The AUAS determines the nominations, after which a professional jury selects the winner based on pitches in De Dataloog. It will be announced during the Computable Awards 2022 on October 5.

WSK Medical applied with Zeno AI, the first of its kind AI solution for real-time early throat cancer detection during an endoscopic examination in the outpatient clinic (for ENT-surgeons). With this nomination WSK Medical aims to raise more awareness of their mission and unique AI solutions for early cancer detection.

Entries for the Dutch Applied AI Award 2022 must be described according to three criteria: applicability, uniqueness and responsibility. Applicability (applied AI) applies to the extent to which the solution has already been implemented, it is used by the intended target group and how large the number of (potential) customers or people is that is directly or indirectly helped with this innovation. The uniqueness is about the extent to which the innovation is the only one of its kind, it has never been marketed before and the goal of the innovation cannot be achieved in any other way. Responsible AI is all about transparency, privacy and fairness.
